Terms of Service
Last updated: 9 October 2026
These terms apply when you use Fernweh Charge. By using it you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
1. Who provides Fernweh Charge
Fernweh Charge (the iPhone app, the website at www.fernweh.world and the connector that lets AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT use it) is provided by David Moeller Apps, Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Our contact details are in the impressum. /impressum
2. What the service does
Fernweh Charge shows prices and availability of charge points for electric vehicles in Germany. It only reads data, and you can use it without an account.
Fernweh Charge does not start charging sessions, take payments, reserve charge points or sell electricity. You charge at the operator, under the operator's own terms and prices.
3. Information, not an offer
Prices, fees, power and availability come from the charge point operators' public data feeds (Mobilithek / BASt), which we refresh at least daily. Operators may publish late, incompletely or not at all.
A price we show is the operator's last published ad-hoc price, with the time it was published where we have it. It is not an offer, and the price at the charger can differ. Check the price and the connector on site or in the operator's app before you start charging.
4. Using Fernweh Charge
Fernweh Charge is free to use and needs no account. Use it for your own charging decisions and in line with the law. Do not overload or disrupt it, do not get around its rate limits, and do not copy it in bulk to build a competing database. We may limit or block traffic that does.
5. AI assistants
When you use Fernweh Charge inside an AI assistant, the assistant's provider (for example Anthropic or OpenAI) runs the conversation under its own terms and privacy policy. The assistant writes the answer; we supply the data. We are not responsible for how an assistant words, summarises or acts on it, so check anything important against the station's details.
6. Data, maps and rights
The operators' data is published under CC0 (Mobilithek / BASt). Map styles and tiles come from OpenFreeMap and OpenMapTiles, with map data ┬й OpenStreetMap contributors, under their own licences.
The app, the website, the connector and the way we select and present the data are ours. These terms give you no right to them beyond using the service as described.
7. Availability and changes
We may change, suspend or end any part of Fernweh Charge. We may also change these terms; the version on this page applies from the date shown at the top.
8. Liability
We provide Fernweh Charge as it is. We do not promise that the data is complete, correct or current, or that the service is always available. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for loss that results from relying on the data, for example a higher price than shown, a charger that is occupied or faulty, or a detour.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for intent or gross negligence, or any right you have under mandatory law, including consumer protection law.
9. Governing law
Dutch law applies. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts there.
